Feeling This Feeling This Series Book 1 edition by Heather Allen Literature Fiction eBooks

I loved the story. It is emotional and you feel the characters pain. It started slow. I almost came to a point wondering if this is going somewhere but then it pick up speed and I realized it was necessary for the author to start slow with the story. If not you would not feel for the characters and get to know them more and share in their pain and joy.

It was a brilliant story. Just sad that there is a second book on its way but I cant wait for the second book. There is no cliff-hanger!!!

Brilliant first debut!!!!

Goodreads Synopsis
Whoever said life is hard didn’t know the half of it!

Completely devastated when his life is ripped out from underneath him, Jordan Rhodes decides to take a break. A break from everything he’s always known; the country club life-style, his life-long friends and his overbearing parents. He just wants to be free to get lost and not feel the pain he has endured.

Kimber Maguire has been dealt the tough card her entire life. An ailing mom, a sister who refuses to face reality and a yearning for the one that got away, she finds putting one foot in front of the other as her only saving grace. What she really wants is to be free of feeling the pressure that is her life, free to get lost.

But when Jordan finds Kimber while losing himself, they both discover sometimes you just need to feel to be found.

The Best Thing
Man this book took me by surprise. While it wasn't the longest book I've come close to reading recently, it was still able to capture true emotions and characters development/personality very well. Recently, I've been reading more books where the author writes from dual perspectives and sometimes it doesn't always come off without a hitch. In this case Casey did a very good job at alternating chapters with Kimber and Jordan's perspectives–it flowed well.

When the book first started I will admit that I was totally caught off guard by Jordan and Susan's relationship. I wasn't sure where their story was going to lead and definitely wasn't prepared for the big WTF scene. Confused and still gathering my thoughts after the big WTF scene, I kept thinking it can only go up from here. Well, it did but it definitely took some time before things got better for Jordan. I guess I really don't mind having to wait and see what Jordan would do next considering what he experienced with Susan.

Kimber's life is a far cry from butterflies and rainbows, but I loved that she was able to stay strong despite all of the setbacks that life has dealt her. It seemed that almost every part of her life was so HARD; whether it be work, school, family, ex-boyfriends, and a new love life, all seemed to have their own little suitcase of troubles.

I was so nervous that I wouldn't get to have my HEA and more of life's issues would keep Kimber and Jordan apart, thank god it didn't.

The Worst Thing
First I have to say that this story was really good, even the parts that pissed me off.

Now that that's out of the way I really didn't like how Ms. Maguire, Kimber's mom, was so hurtful throughout the story. I wanted to SCREAM b**ch.... Even if–while continuing to read–we finally understand her reasoning, she was literally tearing her daughter down for years because of her own issues.

While I loved that Heidi (the best friend) was Kimber's rock and had her back, I hated that she couldn't keep her mouth shut. The whole town didn't need a blow-by-blow account of Kimber's every move. Again, I found myself wanting to slap someone specifically Heidi when she ran her mouth about the first time Kimber and Jordan were together. Jeez lady...get a grip.

Overall
I really don't have a lot of dislikes for this book. I loved how it showed two totally different lifestyles (Kimber and Jordan) and highlighted the fact that they were both beat down, miserable, and hurt in their current situations. I loved how they found one another and despite all the baggage and odds against them, they were able to find happiness. This book may have gone to some extremes here and there, but in the end it may give some readers hope in their own lives.
Wow. Cute story. Loved the way they met. She was a good person and a sweet loving guy so perfect.
Nice love story with just the right amount of sex. The author is a very good writer. I like the style of writing in this book. The back and forth of characters is an interesting approach to this book but I loved it
This is an okay book to read.
Good book! Heartbreaking, but it was a great read and enjoyable to feel love again! Was a little confused at the start but it worked its self out.
I absolutely adore author Heather Allen books this book was so incredible sexy beautifully written!###
What a sweet yet sad story of overcoming loss and hardships and moving on. I really liked Jordan and Kimber...and Heidi was such a feisty best friend...I loved her. I liked the end but I wish the family dinner they had planned at the end was written into the story. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone really. It is pretty emotional. The beginning was different because their lives were so separate that it felt like reading two different books and it went kind of slow...after their lives intertwine it picked up quite a bit and got to the point where I didn't want to put it down.
